Dear Friends,
The Hellenic News of America is celebrating its 29th
anniversary this year. It is the continuous support of businesses such as yours
and prominent individuals that have helped us reach this milestone of paramount
importance.
The big celebration will take place on Sunday, October
30, 2016 at the Concordville Inn, in Concordville, PA starting at 4:30 PM
Reception and Silent Auction and 6:00 PM Awards Dinner & Entertainment.
The 29th Anniversary Commemorative Journal will take
upon a retrospective approach at how we, as a newspaper and a community, have
progressed since our inception in 1987. Hellenic News of America aims to
advocate, support, network and keep you informed about national issues that
pertain to our Hellenic-American Heritage interests and to maintain our
Hellenic identity.
Today more than ever we need to work together towards
the perpetuation of our traditions and our youth. For this reason we have
established an Independent Scholarship Committee that will be awarding the
Hellenic News of America Scholarships to qualified and vibrant members of our
community from the Mid-Atlantic States. Scholarship awards will be presented at
the Hellenic News of America’s 30th Anniversary Awards Dinner in 2017. This
past spring, we awarded over $20,000 in scholarships at the 25th Anniversary of
the Hermes Expo. Initially, the fund started out with a $1,000 donation, which
then increased with the help of believers of the cause.
We invite you to participate at the Awards Dinner
& Entertainment and to place an ad in the commemorative journal in support
of the Hellenic News of America. Your participation and support will help to
